TESTAMONIES/MIRACLES/MOVES
OF GOD
Sure - it's so exciting to think about that night and how amazing it all
was.
We saw a lot of women that were impacted by the gifts (both receiving and
giving) of tickets.
One women was so gracious with her tickets - she had 5 extra tickets with
her and was so pleased to know that she
could donate them and bless other women. Whenever we were giving free
tickets we just gave them to the next person
to come to the table.
The particular case I shared at the study Thursday night was about a women
who was so touched by the free ticket. When
we explained to her that she didn't have to pay for the ticket at first she
was hesitant because she kept saying that she
could pay but we explained that the ticket was donated and it must have been
meant for her. Once she accepted the ticket
she was excited because she could now afford to buy a book from the sale
there at the event!! :)
Another cool one - a older women ( I assumed grandmother) was there with 2
younger girls that looked to be 17 or 18 years old.
The grandmother was going to pay for the 3 tickets - we had one free one to
give out. I could just see on her face that it was
a burden lifted to have at least one of the tickets paid for. Neither of
the young women knew who Beth Moore was - so this experience was new to
them. It was so cool to see the exposure that this grandmother was
providing to these young girls.
Each time we gave a ticket it seemed like it was perfect timing. Another
women was there with her 2 friends - we gave her a free ticket and her
friends told us that she really needed the free ticket. To buy a ticket for
the event was really a struggle for her.
Then - two women came to the table to buy tickets that were both hearing
impaired. I was able to walk them thru the process of filling out the form
and getting them their tickets. At that point the doors had been open for
awhile so I was worried that they would not get seats that would allow them
to view the signing interpreter. I turned and asked the women closest to me
that was holding the door and greeting people to walk in with these 2 women
to ensure they were seated where they could see the signing. Once I
explained it the volunteer turned and starting signing to these two women.
Turns out that she has a daughter who is deaf - was fluent in signing AND
actually new these 2 women!! God is so awesome!
And of course - there was the amazing gift of the teen girls being seated in
the reserved section up front that allowed them to be used by Beth in the
study. What a life changing opportunity for those girls. I'm sure there
will be times in their lives that this one evening will continue to
impact!!!
So many wonderful gifts wrapped up in one night. I was so excited to be
outside at the ticket table. As the line continued to grow and grow while
women waited for the doors to open I was so moved. The line was SO long -
by the time the doors opened it had wrapped around to the grandstand area.
So much energy in one place!
